I’m Melissa, a Certified Holistic Health Coach and Wellness Educator with dōTERRA. I help women take control of their health by helping them prioritize nutrition, exercise, healthy lifestyle habits, and natural solutions so they can live focused and energized lives. I’m also a Mom of five and ‘heart mom’ to a teenaged son with severe congenital heart defects that required three open-heart surgeries by the time he turned 2 years old. This long and scary journey is what prompted me to bring healthier alternatives into our home.

my story
I’ve Been There, I Understand...
Several years ago I was really frustrated with my son’s constant respiratory struggles. He was diagnosed with really scary, recurring respiratory issues and experienced frequent hospital admissions and interventions to fight each persistent respiratory concern. We already know that down the road he will need a heart transplant, but the medical team also warned us that if we could not find a way to prevent the recurring respiratory issues, he would be at risk of also needing a lung transplant.
At 4 years old, when his body started developing resistance to the interventions, I thought to myself, "There's got to be a better way." And so I asked a question that changed our lives forever, “Is there a safe, effective, and affordable way to keep our son out of the hospital and support his health naturally?" What I discovered changed the course of our entire lives and empowered me as a Mom. So I set out on a mission to empower other families, communities and even the world.
